I have been attending life drawing classes at Dundee College. Tonight the model was Anya and we were working fast and using charcoal, conte, ink and soft pastel. Good fun.

Set up a little still life with objects from around the house. I really like the shape of the modern Habitat tea pot and the tea towel is a favourite.

We have a very tame male pheasant who comes to visit our garden and posed for this sketch with the reward of sunflower seeds. His striking colours being a challenge to capture.

Woke to lots of snow today. Went out to the fields behind our house and did a very quick oil sketch.

The sun was hitting the top of the fields and that was what caught my attention. As I was painting in the shadow I had very cold fingers, it was not just the fields that were frozen.
